16b - Disney's Moana Part 2

This episode is mostly about Maui, also the difference between The Kakamora in Polynesian mythology and Disney's interpretation, and a particular goddess Disney left out of the story that perhaps shouldn't have been. Enjoy!~Paul

21a - Something Wicked This Way Comes Part 1

Hey everyone,

First off, I owe you an apology — I’m dropping this episode one day before Halloween, and I know most of you probably won’t get to hear it until after the holiday. Evil forces in my personal life conspired to delay this one — the kind of bad luck that would make Mr. Dark proud.

That said, it’s here — Something Wicked This Way Comes. Ray Bradbury’s book is better (no surprise there), and, well… Disney’s always gonna Disney when it comes to adaptations. Still, I think you’ll enjoy what I’ve got for you.

As always, thank you so much for your patience, your support, and for sticking with me through the chaos. You all make this show possible, and I can’t say that enough.

Happy Halloween — or close enough. ~Paul

The Story of Cinema - Episode 111 - Palaces For The Masses Part 2

This episode picks up where we left off — inside the movie palaces that made Hollywood feel untouchable. Even as the Depression hit, the lights stayed on and audiences kept showing up for escape.

We’ll look at how the studios kept the doors open even when the seats weren’t full.

It’s the end of the dream’s golden glow — right before the business behind it started to crack.

Thanks for listening and keeping this show going. ~Paul

20d - JAWS Part 4

Thank you all for your patience and kindness during the making of this Jaws series. It’s been a long swim, but we finally reached the shore with this final episode. I hope you’ve enjoyed the ride, and that this last installment brings it all home for you.

This series has been a blast to put together—even with the challenges—and your support has made all the difference. I couldn’t have done it without you.

I hope you like this closing chapter of the Jaws series, and as always, thank you so much for listening, for sticking with me, and for being part of this little community we’ve built here.

More to come. ~Paul

Paul, how do I listen to you in iTunes?

I am well Paul thank you for asking. I do not need you to remake 16b. I would love to hear more Polynesian stories and also love the music so very much.

You're welcome.
